Grace 101

This class is the place to find out what it means to be a member and how to get plugged in on a deeper level. It is our memberships class, but you are invited to come even if you are not planning to join the church right now. This class provides a forum to discuss questions that you may have.

The vision of Grace Community Church being the hands and feet of Christ to our community will be shared. Wednesday evening classes are facilitated by Pastor Rod MacIlvaine. Please watch for the next scheduled class or contact Mary at 333-2030, x117

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a CHRIST-CENTERED recovery program designed to help people with a variety of hurts, habits and hang-ups. Our weekly format includes worship, teaching, sharing recovery experiences, and small group interaction.

Celebrate Recovery provieds a SAFE ENVIRONMENT for real life-change in Jesus Christ, as participants personally work through specific Bible-based recovery steps in the context of Christian community. We recognize the truth that we need each other to grow personally and spritually.

We open the door to recovery by sharing our EXPERIENCES, STRENGTH AND HOPE with one another. This leads to a greater capacity for accepting God's grace and movement in our lives as we are working through issues that have kept us "stuck."

The recovery process enables us to move toward greater FREEDOM from addictive, complusive and dysfunctional behaviors. The freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

If all your pursuits to find life and ease your pain have only led to more pain and emptiness, maybe it's time to consider something else. Join us, as together, we pursue real life in Jesus Christ and CELEBRATE THE RECOVERY only He can bring through His people and His Word.

Groups at Grace

At GCC, we believe intentional relationships are key to sustained spiritual growth. Life change happens best in the context of our small group ministry. In small groups, people study God's Word and discuss the issues and challenges of life. They care for one another in a relaxed, authentic atmosphere and even serve together on a regular basis.

We break down the elements of small group life by our church's mission statement: Worship, Connect, and Serve.

Worship: The small group participants look to the Lord and learn to love God as they study the scriptures, a topical study, or discuss the sermon from the previous week. Worship also takes place as the small group cultivates an atmosphere of confident continuous prayer for one another.

Connect: The small group environment fosters the love for one other as the primary care outlet for its members. As they connect on a regular basis, they develop long-term relationships; where friends can struggle together with faith issues and life events.

Serve: This aspect of the small group dynamic encourages members to actively seek to share Christ's love by participating in an ongoing community ministry project or organization. We show our love to those in the world when we serve outside the walls of the church.

God designed all of us with a desire to belong somewhere and to be relationally connected to others. Our small groups are where the true ministry at Grace happens!

Through a shared interest, a hobby, a common purpose, or a stage of life, new small groups are formed on a regular basis to provide a place where you can belong and find friends. Precept Bible Studies

Precept Bible Study equips people with the tools to study God's Word for themselves by studying the Bible inductively. This is the most powerful and rewarding method to personal discovery and deeper retention.

Observation: Specially designed skills for busy lives in an age of speed, noise, and endless distractions, the Inductive Study Method will help you slow down to focus on God's Word.

Interpretation: Careful observation enables students to discover what that text means in its context. Since the Bible is its own best interpreter, the more accurate your observations, the greater your understanding of God's Word will be.

Application: The Creator and Author of life has chosen to show us how to live a satisfying, eternally significant life. Intentional, disciplined observation and interpretation lead you to the profoundly applicable truth of the Bible.
